Okay, now you have a blog, or you might have just started your own blog. And then … you get stuck because you are blank about what to write in your blog.

No inspiration? Your mind goes blank and you have nothing to write down?

Well, before you know what to write in your blog, first you have to decide what you will mainly talk about inside your blog. Think again about the time when you finally decided to start blogging on your own. Here are several things to refresh your mind.

What was the main idea behind the birth of your blog?

Sharing information? Making money subject to talk about? Talking about your daily life? You have to remember again your intention in giving birth to that blog, and then you will know where to start your good grip.

What is the main topic you mostly have in your mind?

If your main topic is concerning about IT-gadget, you might want to write your own review about the latest IT products that grabbed your most attention. For example, if you are a fan of certain mobile phone products and have always followed their news, you can start by writing your small review about any type of their products. Or if you are interested in digital camera and also have one, you might want to share any tips about giving the best shot with the type that you own. Even the picture you take can also be one new topic to write about.

What is your vision and mission behind the birth of your blog?

Did you create your blog to share information? Then start with what kind of information that you want to share? You might be talking about how to make money from Internet, and you have gotten many experiences about which one works for you and which one doesn’t work for you. Then start sharing it with your readers. Did you create your blog to alert people to start becoming friendly with environment? Then pick a specific thing that you want your readers to notice and start writing about why you feel that they need to know about this.

What kind of subject that you want to bring into focus?

You understand your main topic. You know your mission. You know the field to talk about. Now, is there any subject to bring up? Perhaps the latest news or rumors that everybody has been talking about nowadays? For example, maybe you know how to prevent floods coming again into your area and you want to invite people to follow your tips?

Who are your targets?

How about their ages, their fields, their area or community? Once you know the type and range of the targets of your articles, you will know the proper words to use for your writing. For example, you are writing an article about IT. Those people with IT background will understand the specific keywords you use in your article, but if you have also targeted on non-IT audiences, you have to know how to make them understand what you write. And if you are targeting on teenagers, you need to arrange your words and sentences which enable them to absorb everything that you say.

What kind of articles you want to bring up for your audiences?

Something with humor? Serious talks? Reviews? Critical? Different kind of articles will result in different characteristic and style of your writing, also different word usages. You might sound bitter in critical talks. You might use silly words in humor characteristic articles. You might need to make a suggestion when you are writing reviews, etc.

Is there any particular thing that you know very well to talk about?

What do you want to talk about this particular thing? Then start right from that point. Maybe you are good in giving computer programming solution? You might have found out a better way to solve certain old programming problem? Then talk about it, and offer your solution inside the article you write.

Is there any specific information you want to share with your readers?

You may be a database programmer and you know about some bugs in some certain database inner function that limit its usage inside a procedure? You may still come with a solution to cope with the limit of the function and you want to share it with your readers. Or you probably have found out that some GPT (Get Paid To) programs are actually scams and you want to alert the others so they will not fall into the same bad experience with these programs? Or you have found a good way to optimize search engine position for a website? Then share what you know, even if it will turn out only few paragraphs, at least you still write.

Once you have listed all these things and the list brings you into certain subject to talk about, start writing with your own words then.

Good luck with your writing! :)
